What’s in your toolkit?

Recently I was sitting with a mechanic when a call came in from ABS. It was a member seeking some help. If you don’t know, this is a uniquely ABS membership benefit that connects members with one of our Technical Advisors for questions – and you never know when you may need it. The mechanic asked the pilot/owner if they had a screwdriver to access a panel. After the call ended, I inquired (as I do often) about what tools or other items the mechanic has in his Bonanza. We shared stories about situations we have had where a handful of tools really came in handy. A recent accident involving a Cessna 310 with a stuck rudder in South Florida came to mind as I had a similar situation … but I was on the ground.
