The ABS Maintenance Academy Online video series is in the ABS Online Training Center.
This four-video presentation covers select topics from the live, 2 ½-day hands-on ABS Maintenance Academy program for certificated mechanics. The 37-minute video series features expert, type-specific guidance on these inspection and maintenance topics for all models of the Beechcraft Bonanza, Debonair, Baron and Travel Air:
-
Introduction and general inspection information
-
Engine
-
Airframe/Tail and Control Surfaces
-
Landing Gear
We created the new online version of the ABS Maintenance Academy because space is very limited at the live events, and and to get vital type-specific maintenance information to aircraft mechanics around the world. Although the ABS Maintenance Academy Online videos cover items that must be performed or supervised by a certificated mechanic, we encourage pilots, aircraft owners and flight instructors to view the program to learn more about Beech airplanes and to improve the quality of their preflight inspections.
If you are a full-time certificated mechanic regularly maintaining Beech airplanes, and wish to apply for acceptance to one of the live ABS Maintenance Academy hands-on events, click here for more information.
The professionally produced ABS Maintenance Academy Online program was written by and features ABS Senior Technical Advisor Bob Ripley, who also created and teaches ABS’ live Academy courses along with Technical Advisor Dale Kraus. The program joins the Beechcraft Pilot Proficiency Program (BPPP) Beechcraft Systems, Procedures and Techniques course, the Beechcraft Pilot Skills Enhancement series, and the ABS Flight Instructor Academy on the ABS Online Training Center. All are free to members of the American Bonanza Society.
Video production and hosting was funded by tax-deductible member donations and sponsored by SELECT AirParts (www.selectairparts.com).
